Welcome to SubConf 2007

The 1st Subversion Conference will take place in Munich from 16th to18th October 2007. Joint organisers of the SubConf are the HOOD Group, the iX-Magazine from the Heise Verlag and HLMC Events GmbH; the associate organiser is the GfSE (German Chapter of INCOSE). The theme of the SubConf 2007 is: “Unifying Distributed Teams”. Since the open source software Subversion became the official successor to CVS in 2004, increasingly more and more organisations are migrating to Subversion. Such migrations affect not only CVS projects: commercial configuration and version management systems are also being increasingly phased out. There will be two parallel tracks; one offering user experiences for successful migration projects, the other covering the technological aspects of Subversion.

The new version, Subversion 1.5, will be presented at the SubConf for the first time. A corresponding workshop led by the people responsible for this new version will be offered here shortly.
